In January, the JED offered workshops for more than 30 parents and 160 teachers featuring Rabbi Chaim Ellis, LISW-S, on how to raise resilient children who can overcome adversity and challenges.

IsraAID Assists With Community Emergency Response Preparedness

This past December, the Federation has hosted a team from the Israeli NGO, IsraAID, to begin the dialogue of how we continue our work in a post-Harvey Houston. After a week of meetings with Jewish organizations from across the spectrum, IsraAID concluded their time in Houston with a workshop on their findings. This is just the start of a bigger conversation on collaboration and proactive measures we, as a community, can take to be better prepared for future emergencies.
