YOUR YEAR-END GIVING MAKES A DIFFERENCE NOW MORE THAN EVER!

Thank you for the difference you are making in the world through your charitable contributions, and thank you for your continued support. Through your generosity, essential services and programs have enhanced our community, and lives have been transformed.We know you have many options when it comes to giving, and we thank you for your trust in us. Please consider the following year-end options when fulfilling your pledge or making your gift.

  • Pay on Your Pledge
    Pledges can be fulfilled online with eCheck, credit card, or debit card.

 

  • Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
    As you plan your year-end charitable giving, consider recommending a grant from your Donor-Advised Fund to the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. Your support helps ensure that our community remains strong, caring, and connected by meeting needs today and building for tomorrow. DAF grants are a simple and impactful way to sustain the work we do together.

 

  • Donate Stock
    A contribution of appreciated securities is a tax-effective way to support the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston or establish a DAF or add to your DAF (especially with current market highs). A contribution provides you with a deduction worth the fair market value of the stock at the time it is donated, plus you avoid paying capital gains tax. Pledges can be fulfilled via stock by emailing Melina Soroka at msoroka@houstonjewish.org with the ​stock symbol, number of shares, and anticipated date of transfer. You will receive a confirmation email with our banking details.

 

  • IRA Charitable Rollover
    We can help turn your individual retirement accounts (IRAs) into gifts. Many of our supporters choose to fulfill a pledge using their Individual Retirement Account (IRA). If you are over 70½ years of age, you may make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to the Jewish Federation directly from your IRA. If you are over 72 years of age, you can use all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), up to $100,000, to fulfill a pledge.

 

  • Support the Federation Annual Campaign
    Please consider the valuable resources the Federation provides to the community and support the Annual Campaign with a gift before the end of the year. Maximize the value of your gift while maximizing the benefits to our community.

 

  • Fulfill by Check
    Pledge fulfillments by check can be made out to Jewish Federation of Greater Houston

  • Legacy Gift
    A legacy gift to the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston is a meaningful way to secure the future of our community. Tribute gifts are the most meaningful way to thank a friend, to recognize an important milestone or to remember someone who is no longer with us. An acknowledgement will be mailed to the person or family in whose name your gift was made.
