Antisemitism and Christian Nationalism: Untangling the Relationship

In the United States there has been renewed attention to the problems of rising antisemitism and the threat of Christian nationalism to democratic principles. This lecture will investigate those wings of the Christian nationalist movement that have antisemitic elements to them and show how these are embedded within a combination of religious, racial, and ethnonationalist assumptions. Understandings these relationships is crucial for developing the skills to identify and respond to the intersection of antisemitism, racism, and Christian nationalism today.
