Jewish Children’s Regional Service

About The Organization

For over 170 years, Jewish Children’s Regional Service (JCRS) has served vulnerable Jewish children and families in Houston and across our seven-state service region. Today, JCRS is as vital as ever. This year, JCRS will serve or fund over 1,850 Jewish children, including 295 youth from Greater Houston, through need-based scholarships for college aid, summer camp grants, special needs assistance, and other important outreach programs, such as our Hanukkah gift program.

JCRS plays a key role in Greater Houston by supporting and funding children who have limited or no access to other community resources. Our unique programs are organized to fill funding gaps that other organizations are unable to satisfy. Since 2023, JCRS has awarded over $1 million in direct aid to Houston families.
