We Stand With Israel Response and Resources

Since October 7, 2023, the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston (JFGH) has provided resources to support Israel’s recovery and rebuilding in partnership with Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA). JFNA has a 12-person team on the ground in Israel assessing the needs. Its strategic Rebuild Israel Task Force (comprised of 25 people representing all 141 Federations) has three working groups in the areas of Mental Health, Education, and Soldiers and their Families. JFGH CEO Renée Wizig-Barrios serves as Co-Chair of the Mental Health Working Group. The working groups will identify high impact opportunities to share with Federations to inform decision-making around the remaining funds of the Israel Emergency Campaign.
