Federation Supports Seven Acres Nurses and Staff with Gift Cards

May 20, 2020 -While Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services always celebrates Nurses Appreciation Week, this year was different. Due to COVID-19, the essential staff of this Federation-partner agency had to change the way they worked while maintaining quality care.

Appreciating these front-line workers became even more necessary and meaningful and Seven Acres expanded Nurses’ Appreciation to include all of its essential staff. The Federation contributed providing gift cards, and another Seven Acres supporter provided a second gift card.

“This was just a small way for us to say thank you for the incredible work of the entire staff of Seven Acres during this difficult time,” said Federation CEO Kari Dunn Saratovsky. “We are proud of their work and honored to support them.”

In a letter to his staff during Nurses’ Appreciation Week, Seven Acres COO Barry Goldstein explained how this year was different.

“Working in a nursing facility and an assisted living facility, and trying to keep our residents as safe as possible is a huge challenge right now. The leadership at Seven Acres recognizes that not only our nurses, but all of our staff members are heroes. That is why, during Nurses’ Appreciation Week, we decided to recognize our entire staff.”
