My Jewish Photographic Journey
Torah
Description
Photographer Paul Margolis has spent most of his adult life dealing with the twin issues of his identity: being Jewish and being an artist. This PowerPoint session details his work as a photographer of Jewish life, as well as his continuing journey of self-discovery. He works with black and white film for the classic look that medium gives. Paul will show photos of current NYC political demonstrations from a Jewish perspective. For 35 years he has documented little-known aspects of the Jewish world — Jewish poverty in New York City, the tiny Jewish communities of Cuba and Ireland – and Jews, Christians, and Muslims in Israel.
