The Jewish Federation’s Rebuild Israel Fund has consisted of two phases: the Emergency Fund (October 7, 2023 – November 2024) and the Response Fund (December 2024 – January 2026). Since October 7, 2023, our Houston community has come together to generously support Israelis through these trying times. We are proud of the way our funding will continue to help the country recover economically and rebuild lives and communities.In total, the Federation has raised nearly $20 million, in partnership with the Houston Jewish Community Foundation. This is part of the $908 million raised by Jewish Federations of North America to support needs in Israel. The Federation has absorbed administrative costs so that 100% of the funds raised go to support Israel.
