For Couples With at Least One Jewish Partner
The program welcomes Houston couples of diverse backgrounds that are between the ages of 25-45 at the time of their HMI trip and who are early in their marriage or lifelong committed partnership. Your love matters, whether you’re a multi-faith family, born Jewish, a Jew by choice, multi-racial, LGBTQIA+ and more. Now more than ever, young couples are searching for a Jewish community to celebrate the good times, lean on during the hard times, and navigate life, love, and Judaism. Join couples who are navigating family and relationships, and spark a lifelong community bond that starts with a group trip.
This 10-day trip to Israel provides a chance to deepen your connections with your partners and create a new local community of friends while gaining your own perspective on the nuances and diversity of Israel.

What is the process to apply?
Applications are open
- The first step is to make sure you are eligible to apply. Eligibility Requirements
- Then complete the application. Each couple must submit an online written application by August 21.
- After the application cycle closes, HMI will let each couple know if they’ve been invited for an in-person or video interview. Not all applicants are invited to the second step of the application process due to limited capacity for interviews and trip spots. If couples are invited to an interview, the interview will be 30 minutes long, will take place on a designated set of dates, and each invited couple will have the ability to sign up for a slot.
