Community COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic (Day #2)

August 20, 2021 10:00AM - 1:00PM

Congregation Emanu El (1500 Sunset Blvd.) will host an H-E-B COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic on Friday, July 30 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Emanu El is partnering with Congregation Beth Yeshurun, CrowdSource Rescue, Jewish Family Service Houston, the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston, Southwest Houston United Responds (SHUR), NCJW – Greater Houston Section and Texas Congregational Disaster Readiness (TXCDR) as part of H-E-B’s response to the COVID pandemic in an effort to bring clinics into the community.

All interested participants are asked to schedule an appointment ahead of time. Click over to https://sforce.co/3qYbC91 to schedule an appointment.

There is no cost for the COVID vaccine; however, H-E-B will be processing the medication administration fee through insurance. Everyone with insurance benefits will need to bring a copy of their pharmacy and medical insurance cards to the clinic. Those without insurance will still be able to get vaccinated, but will need to provide their Social Security number (SSN) on the consent form as per government guidelines. H-E-B will provide the vaccination to everyone regardless of status (i.e. no SSN).

It is advised that no one takes Tylenol or Motrin/ibuprofen beforehand; taking these after the vaccine is fine, but not before. After receiving the vaccine, individuals will be asked to wait 15 minutes for monitoring.

Please note that the 2nd dose date will be Friday, August 20 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The appointment time will be the same as the one chose for the first dose (i.e. if you chose 9:30 a.m. for your first dose appointment then your appointment for the second dose will also be at 9:30 a.m.).
