School Services
In addition to the allocations the Federation grants to local Jewish Day Schools to support their work, the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston provides services to benefit day schools through our Jewish Education Department.
Federation educators can provide consultations for schools, their teachers, and administrators in the areas of educational plans for classrooms, school-wide events and teacher job placement services. Additional consultation services are available in the areas of board development, admissions, marketing, fundraising, and enrollment.
The Federation also serves as the entity that coordinates with the Houston Independent School District (HISD) for accessing Federal Title funding for Houston’s Jewish Day Schools.
The Federation also houses specialized Jewish educational materials. These materials can be borrowed and used by educators in lesson plan development.
