The Education Resource Center, located within the Jewish Federation building, provides children, adults, families and teachers with scores of educational materials, projects, videos and DVDs. It also offers an extensive Judaic library of books to utilize in planning and implementing meaningful Jewish educational experiences throughout the year.The Resource Center also houses the Attractive Land Map of Israel, Gather Us Together Ethiopian curriculum and other Israel materials and resources. Teachers are invited to take advantage of all the resources available.

Audiovisual materials can be used ONLY for the purpose of viewing. Unauthorized duplication of any material for public or private use is a violation of both the Federation Copyright Law and Jewish Law, being an infringement upon another person’s livelihood.
Consultations are available with teachers and administrators to develop educational plans for classrooms and school-wide events.
The Education Resource Center houses an extensive collection of Israel materials. These materials may be borrowed for use in classroom lessons, large group programs, or synagogue and organization functions. All items are available to borrow free of charge. Certain items (where noted) may require a deposit which will be refunded upon return of materials.
The Attractive Land Map, also known as "The Big Map of Israel," allows students to literally stand on Israel in order to learn about Israeli geography, history and culture through a variety of games and other engaging activities. This vividly-colored 30 foot long map of Israel has inflatable sides, travels in a durable vinyl duffel and is available to borrow by reservation only.
The Education Resource Center is home to an Ellison Sure Cut die cut machine and more than 90 die cuts from which to choose. Bring your own construction paper, foam sheets or other creative materials to cut shapes for craft projects, bulletin boards, classroom decorations and more.

A self-serve laminating machine is available to all Jewish educational institutions in the Greater Houston area at a cost of $ .25 per foot. The machine requires a 30-minute warmup prior to use and is available from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. (3:30 p.m. on Fridays.) Gather Us Together, an interactive curriculum by Creative Ways, is part curriculum and part portable exhibit. Participants immerse their senses in the culture, history and experience of Ethiopian Jews as they travel through three learning stations following Beta Israel's journey back to Israel. Through images, music, authentic Ethiopian artifacts, DVDs, oral histories, learning activities and a scripted presentation, students encounter an extraordinary story of faith, courage and homecoming.
The archaeological dig was created for Houston's International Festival celebrating Israel's 50th birthday. The dig comes complete with pottery pieces, shovels, sifters, washing stations and giant decorative clay pots. Also included are murals and banners which can be borrowed separately.
