Leaders for Tomorrow (LFT) Accelerator Program + Parent Summit in Collaboration with Kehillah High

December 04, 2024 7:00PM - 9:00PM

LFT Accelerator for 10th-12th graders and parents.
American Jewish Committee (AJC) has educated over 2,000 teens through its award-winning Leader for Tomorrow (LFT) program, now based in twelve cities nationwide. LFT serves as AJC’s education and advocacy program for teens, empowering young Jews to speak up for Israel and the Jewish people.

As the global advocacy organization for the Jewish people, AJC is determined to increase access to our thoughtful, nuanced program beyond its current footprint so we can continue to build the new generation of Jewish leaders. Our goal is to ensure that more teens across the U.S. are better prepared for the challenges they will inevitably face, and. To achieve this, we are creating an abridged LFT crash course, which will be accessible to a larger number of cities and communities.

The LFT Accelerator Program will offer local teens an abridged LFT course that will empower them to build their Jewish identities, stand up for Israel, and combat antisemitism.
Seasoned AJC educators and experts will teach this nuanced educational model to groups of diverse and talented Jewish high schoolers.

Parent Summit
AJC Empowered Parents is a brand-new initiative inspired by parents and caregivers concerned about a troubling lack of understanding of Jewish identity, instances of antisemitism, and unbalanced conversation about Israel emerging in their children’s schools.

This program for parents of middle school and high school students comes as a response to the enormously successful AJC New York Parents and Schools Summit of May 2023.

Designed and supervised by Dr. Laura Shaw Frank, AJC Director, William Petschek Contemporary Jewish Life, PhD in Jewish history, attorney, and veteran expert of the New York independent school ecosystem, Empowered Parents will facilitate an education session that tackles hard topics and hard conversations parents may come across in their schools.
