Jewish Communities Day at the State 2021 (Virtual Mission)

March 23, 2021 12:00AM - March 24, 2021 11:59PM

Please save the date as the Jewish Federations in Texas come together for our Jewish Communities Day at the State: Virtual Legislative Mission to Austin 2021, a joint effort between the Jewish Federations of Austin, Dallas, El Paso, Houston, San Antonio, and Fort Worth & Tarrant County. We have confirmed participation by Governor Greg Abbott, and hope to soon confirm our other statewide leaders, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick and Speaker of the House Dade Phelan.

This biennial event is important because it educates our legislators about the policy priorities that are important to the Texas Jewish community, and a strong attendance lets our state leaders know that the Jewish community is attentive to the decisions they make and that we care about issues that impact our Jewish and general communities, including our most vulnerable.

Jewish Communities Day at the State: Virtual Legislative Mission to Austin 2021 will be held March 23 – 24, 2021, and is free to all attendees. We will host two informative panels, featuring prominent legislators from both sides of the aisle: (1) Health Care During and After the COVID-19 Pandemic and (2) How Texas Is Addressing Antisemitism and Hate Crimes.
