Martin Luther King, Jr., ASSASSINATED! Words that shocked a nation in April 1968. Now, through the powerful play,
City of Good Abode, relive the story of the historic strike by Memphis sanitation workers that led to King’s death,
all while exploring the relationship between America’s African American community and the nation’s Jewry, many of whom marched with their black “brethren,” while others’ support was less enthusiastic. This winner of the
2017 Jewish Plays Project’s New Play Contest is being given a special post-Labor Day commemorative production.
