Shani Ben Or is the first Reform cantor ordained in Israel and the first person ordained as cantor and rabbi simultaneously by HUC-JIR in Israel. Congregation Beth Israel is excited to welcome Shani Ben Or to our Shabbat Evening Service on Friday, August 23 and Torah Study on Saturday, August 24. Her ensemble, Nigunim, also featuring Boaz Dorot, will perform an evening concert Saturday night from 6:30-8:30 PM.
