From Sinai to Lesbos: A Jewish Response to the Refugee Crisis

Gimilut Chasadim

Description

As Jews, what responsibility do we have towards the refugee crisis throughout the world? What should be our guide – the covenant of Sinai or the memory of Auschwitz? Or both? What lessons do we learn from our sources, our collective experiences, and our past and recent history? Having recently returned from working with refugees on the island of Lesvos, Greece, I will update on the situation and address these questions as a Jewish, Israeli, feminist journalist.
