This class PAX Tools for Parents and Caregivers is a shortened version of a nine hour workshop targeted towards all who care for children outside of a school setting. This class will be a quick overview of nine trauma-informed, evidence- based behavioral strategies for families and communities to promote the development of self-regulation of the children in their lives.

Bios

Katelyn Bleiweiss, MPH is a native Houstonian proudly serving her community in the Department of Behavioral and Mental Health Services at JFS. Katelyn is the only Sources of Strength suicide prevention program trainer for the Houston Jewish community and beyond, providing mental health and wellness presentations and programs. She believes that sharing stories of hope, help, and strength can counter the overwhelming negativity we are all exposed to daily. She encourages all who are reading this to send a thank you note to someone who has been helpful in life, as gratitude is a core spiritual practice.
