The Federation's Bureau of Jewish Education constantly seeks to serve as a resource to the community for opportunities in Jewish education. For adults interested in furthering their Jewish education on a more formal basis, the BJE will offers several courses in Judaic Studies throughout the year in partnership with the
Laura and Alvin Siegal College of Judaic Studies in Cleveland, Ohio. Through two-way interactive videoconferencing technology, students in Houston have the opportunity to study with outstanding North American and Israeli faculty. Videoconferencing creates a traditional classroom and group-learning environment while preserving a high level of interaction between students and faculty and among the students themselves. Classes take place at the Teacher Resource Center in the Jewish Federation Building, 5603 S. Braeswood Blvd. For more information about this program, contact Barbara Loeser, BJE Community Outreach Coordinator, at (713) 729-7000, ext. 321, or click
