Collage 2010 - A HUGE Success !

Collage is the Federation’s single largest outreach and fundraising event for women. This event occurs in January or February every year. Collage 2010 was held on Tuesday, February 2nd at the Westin Galleria. Lesley Wolman, Performer and Lion of Judah was the featured guest presenter. The Chairwoman for the event was Ellen Trachtenberg and the Honorary Chairwoman was Velva G. Levine.  The Jewish Federation of Greater Houston has been there for people who need help to through today’s challenging times, particularly in the local community.  A few of the organizations who received Federation funds during the past year included:

Jewish Family Service assisted approximately 8,800 clients

Meals on Wheels served more than 118,000 meals to Houston-area seniors

Jewish Day Schools received more than $592,000 to fund key programs

Seven Acres Seniors benefitted from more than $500,000 dedicated to support the center’s residents and critical needs.

This year, over $250,000. was raised at Collage 2010!

 

Lion of Judah Society:

Women who are Lion of Judah Society members contribute at least $5,000 in their own name to the Federation’s Annual Campaign. Currently, the Lion of Judah Society boasts a roster of over 250 women from across the community.

 

 


Pomegranate Society:

Women who are Pomegranates contribute at least $1,800 in their own name to the Federation’s Annual Campaign. Currently, the Pomegranate Society boasts a roster of more than 150 women from across the community.
