Jewish Chaplaincy Program
The Jewish Chaplaincy Program is designed to meet the needs of Jewish patients from cities throughout the United States and foreign countries, as well as local residents admitted to area hospitals. A Jewish Chaplain meets the spiritual needs of patients and their families and staff at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and provides supportive counseling and crisis intervention. A Chaplain is on-call for hospital emergencies. In addition to the professional staff, a corps of dedicated volunteers also visits with patients and their families. The Chaplaincy Program is administered by the Jewish Family Service and is a beneficiary of the community's Annual United Jewish Campaign.
