A small group interested in the Reconstructionist movement founded the Houston Reconstructionist Havurah (HRH) in 1985.  HRH opened membership in 1991 and has since conducted High Holy Day and Shabbat Services and offered continuing education.  HRH is an inclusive and growing Jewish Reconstructionist spiritual community, united in our quest for creating an integrated and meaningful Jewish life.  Through study, prayer, and acts of caring for each other and for the world, we foster a dialogue between our traditions and ourselves and welcome individuals and families who share our enthusiasm for rebuilding and renewing Jewish lives.  HRH is a member of the Jewish Reconstructionist Federation, which has more than 90 affiliates in North America.
