Holocaust Museum Houston is a living memorial to the 6 million Jews and many other innocent victims of the Holocaust. The Museum is open daily and has no admission charge. It houses a permanent exhibit, "Bearing Witness: A Community Remembers," based on the lives of local survivors and liberators, as well as a memorial room, classrooms, a changing exhibit gallery, a 100-seat theater, and a library and archives repository. Through its exhibits and programming, the Museum serves as an educational facility where this and future generations can learn about the dangers of prejudice, hatred, and violence and the need for moral courage through individual responsibility.
